Required Qualifications:
Early Childhood Teacher Certificate from Delaware First
12 months of experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson plans.
  • Plan and implement varied enrichment activities that foster development in language, mathematics, science, creative arts, emotional and social skills, physical health, and the individual approach to learning.
  • Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Take responsibility for care and hygiene of children.
  • Communicate directly and compassionately with parents.
  • Be willing to engage with current and prospective parents and families with regard to programs, curriculum, safety, and qualifications.
  • Be responsive to needs of parents and families.
  • Maintain classroom records.
  • Provide care and support to children at all times.
  • Direct and participate with Assistant Teachers, Classroom Helpers, and Interns to maintain cleanliness and order throughout program.
  • Review and possess knowledge of each individual child’s classroom files particularly with regard to their medical and developmental histories.
  • Complete First Aid/CPR training periodically.
  • Understand responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
  • Comply with all governmental regulations regarding the care of children.
  • Maintain accurate reporting/keep the Director, Management staff, and Owners informed of all necessary information regarding the care and safety of children.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation according to OCCL requirements.
  • Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other teachers/staff are not available.
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events, and parent meetings as requested.
  • Fulfill annual training requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and families personal information and center files/information at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and four years combination of training/experience in early childhood field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development and instruction, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction, as well as state and national standards.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation, as well as assessment and evaluation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with technology and other resources to enhance instruction.
  • Strong understanding of the use of data and research to inform curriculum development and instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing curriculum plans and programs that align with state standards.
  • Collaborating with teachers and administrators to design and revise the curriculum.
  • Keeping abreast of new developments and trends in curriculum and instruction and incorporating them into the curriculum.
  • Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum and making necessary changes.
  • Providing professional development and training to teachers on curriculum and instruction.
  • Overseeing the selection and adoption of instructional materials and resources.
  • Coordinating the scheduling and delivery of instruction.
  • Supporting the use of technology and other resources to enhance instruction.

Required Qualifications:
Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Certificate from Delaware First
6 months of experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing lesson plans.
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities (indoor/outdoor) as they relate to the curriculum.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
  • Instruct children with a compassionate and nurturing method (as directed by Director or Lead Teacher).
  • Greet children individually and with warmth and friendliness.
  • Help to maintain an environment of warmth, safety, and compassion.
  • Be responsible for the health, well-being, and safety of children.
  • Review each individual child’s classroom files with regard to their medical and developmental histories as needed
  • Interact with parents
  • Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other teachers/staff are not available
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events ( during center hours), and parent meetings as requested
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and families personal information and center files/information at all times.
  • Teachers and assistant teachers work together to support the academic and social development of the children.
  • Light toileting assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Early Childhood Intern Certificate from Delaware First
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Additional training may be needed.
Experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
  • Instruct children with a compassionate and nurturing method (as directed by Director or Lead Teacher).
  • Greet children individually and with warmth and friendliness.
  • Help to maintain an environment of warmth, safety, and compassion.
  • Be responsible for the health, well-being, and safety of children.
  • Review each individual child’s classroom files with regard to their medical and developmental histories as needed
  • Interact with parents
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and family’s personal information and center files/information at all times.
  • The Early Childhood intern works with the lead and assistant teachers to provide a warm and loving atmosphere for children ages 2 to 5 years.
  • Teachers and interns work together to support the academic and social development of the children.
  • Light toileting assistance as needed.
